The 1831 series is one of Dwyer's most popular differential pressure switches. It can use a double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switch and a manual reset. The 1831 series DPDT low differential pressure switch is compact and offers 4% setpoint repeatability. Using a DPDT switch requires no power. Adjusting the setpoint on the switch is pretty easy.

The 1831 series DPDT low differential pressure switch comes with a manual reset feature, solving common issues linked to typical high-velocity static cutout devices. Since 1831, no power is needed to drive the output, which reduces the power circuit, extra wiring and conduits, as well as the cost of materials and labor. Both control contacts on the 1831 series can be activated at the same time. The ability of the lead switch to shut off the fan and prevent a delayed switch from sending an alarm signal to the DDC might no longer be the system's responsibility. This also cuts down on potentially expensive service calls. Unlike typical switches that only have one conduit entry per control circuit, the 1831 series comes with two conduit connections, making wiring simpler and eliminating unnecessary T-connectors.
