The Model 268 series micro-differential pressure sensors use a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode to form a variable capacitor. When the pressure changes, the capacitance changes. Setra’s unique detection circuit converts the capacitance change into a linear DC electrical signal. The elastic diaphragm can withstand an overpressure of 70 KPa (both positive and negative) without damage. This sensor/transmitter is temperature-compensated, improving both temperature performance and long-term stability.
The Model 268 or 268MR differential pressure transmitter can measure differential or gauge pressure (static) and convert the signal into a proportional current signal, outputting a 4-20mA current. The supply voltage is 24VDC. The Model 268(EX) complies with intrinsic safety requirements, with an explosion-proof rating of ia II CT4 (optional), allowing it to operate safely in hazardous environments. The minimum measurement range of the Model 268/268MR is 0–25 Pa, and the maximum range is 0–25 KPa. At room temperature, its accuracy is ±1%FS, with a temperature compensation range of 5–65℃. Thanks to the temperature compensation circuit, temperature effects are kept below ±0.06%FS/℃.
Thanks to its excellent performance-to-price ratio, the Model 268/268MR is widely used in natural gas pipeline monitoring, power plant air pressure detection, and other fields.
