The SA1100 series diaphragm operated pressure switch is weatherproof and explosion-proof in an economical housing. The extremely sturdy structure ensures excellent reliability in chemical, petroleum, and industrial factories. The new design also provides a burst pressure protection of 3000psi (206 bar). The rolling diaphragm design maintains a constant effective area to reduce friction. This resulted in the lowest dead zone, as low as 5% of the full size. Due to the fact that many applications require higher dead bands, the SA1100 includes a separate adjustment, which is necessary. The pump used to control the liquid level inside the tank is a typical case, and this characteristic is very important. The set value and dead band adjustment are both protected, but clearly visible behind a transparent polycarbonate window and completely isolated from electronic components to increase safety. A 7/16 "open-end wrench is the only tool that requires changing settings. It provides terminals for switch wiring connections, including internal and external grounding screws. The weather resistance of the standard housing complies with NEMA standards 1 to 4X and 13; Explosion proof rating: NEMA 7, Class I, Groups B, C, D; Optional structure to increase drainage, meeting NEMA 3R IP54 standard.
● Explosion-proof and weatherproof housing provides device protection for outdoor use or harsh environment operation
● Burst pressure protection prevents device failure where high-pressure surges may damage device costing down-time and repair/replacement
● Adjustable deadband reduces equipment cycling and potential failure
● Visible set-point and deadband adjustments provide an easy and fast check without having to open device causing dangerous conditions to operators
