The TRCIII-220 freezing point reference chamber relies on the equilibrium of ice and distilled deionized water at atmospheric pressure to maintain six reference wells at * * 0 ° C. These holes extend into a sealed cylindrical chamber containing distilled deionized water. The outer wall of the chamber is cooled by thermoelectric cooling elements. Sensing the volume increase caused by the formation of ice crystals inside the battery through the expansion of a bellows, the bellows operates a micro switch and controls the cooling element. The alternating freezing and melting of ice maintains a 0 ℃ environment around the reference well.
The automatic operation function of this instrument eliminates the frequent attention required for common ice baths. The on/off cycle of the indicator light indicates normal operation of the device at freezing temperatures.
By simply inserting the reference probe into the reference hole, any thermocouple combination can be used with the instrument. Other types of temperature sensors can also be calibrated at 0 ° C.
When temperature measurement is required, the TRCIII freezing point chamber can provide the accuracy you need. For a constant environment, the reference hole is kept within 0 ℃ to ± 0.1 ℃ and the stability is ± 0.04 ℃. Continuous cycling operation maintains a constant equilibrium condition within the cell, eliminating the slow drift that often occurs in ice baths during melting.
The TRP reference probe used with TRCIII-220 freezing point provides a connection between thermocouple alloy and copper wire on the probe * *. When inserted into the TRCIII-220 freezing point, the TRP probe can change from thermocouple alloy to copper at 0 ° C, achieving * * cold end compensation.
