Product Description

The OMEGA® iSD Environmental Monitor enables network-based remote monitoring of environmental conditions for a wide range of critical HVAC applications, including computer server rooms, cleanrooms, laboratories, museums, warehouses, or any other remote facility. No dedicated software required — simply use a web browser to view and record temperature, relative humidity, and dew point over Ethernet or the internet.

Email Alarm

This device can trigger an alarm when temperature or humidity exceeds or falls below a preset value. Alarm notifications can be sent via email to a single user or to all users on a group distribution list, including via SMS to mobile phones or PDAs.

Tamper Alarm

The OMEGA iSD features screw-terminal contacts for connection to common alarm sensors. Users can configure the iSD monitor to trigger alarms when a door is opened, a window is broken, or a spray-type fire extinguisher is activated.

Power Failure Alarm

If AC power fails, the iSD monitor can trigger an alarm. The iSD monitor can be powered by a standard 9 V alkaline battery (included) to continue data acquisition for up to two days. Ethernet failure will not interrupt data recording.

Local Alarm

The OMEGA iSD monitor is equipped with two 1.5 A output relays controlled by user-defined alarm conditions. For example, relays can activate a flashing light or siren to alert personnel nearby.

Through a simple web-based setup page, the two relays can be programmed for any combination of temperature or humidity, high or low setpoints, and alarm conditions triggered by contact closure. Relays can also be programmed to automatically reset when conditions return to normal, or to latch and require manual reset.
